Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd March 2021, launched the 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain' campaign for conserving water and stressed that every penny of MGNREGA funds be spent on rainwater conservation till the monsoon arrives.

Under the flagship of National Water Mission's (NWM) campaign “Catch The Rain” with the tagline “Catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls” is to nudge the states and stakeholders to create appropriate Rain Water Harvesting Structures (RWHS) suitable to the climatic conditions and sub-soil strata before monsoon.

Sri Aurobindo Society, Svarnim Puducherry as part of the Department of Science, NCSTC program is organising a series of talks on the water on all 4 Saturdays of October 2021.

As a part of this series Ms. Mansee Bal Bhargava, an eminent architect, with more than 2 decades of work on collaborative entrepreneurship, research & education, large scale developmental initiatives and ecological restoration talk about reducing water resources and the related rising water distresses, water as a complex socio-ecological system which has political and gender implications.  Be a part of this talk and let’s join hands in conserving and preserving water a valuable natural resource.
