Savitri Painting Experien

Start Date:21-Feb-2026

End Date:21-Feb-2026

Location:MatriNiketan

Institute:Uditam

On the sacred occasion of The Mother’s Birthday, Uditam, Sri Aurobindo Society, invites the Pondicherry community to a two-hour experiential session of Savitri Painting at Matriniketan, organised in collaboration with Purnam – Centre for Integrality, Auroville. This contemplative gathering offers a deep inward journey into Savitri, Sri Aurobindo’s magnum opus and mantra for transformation.

Savitri is meant to be approached with a silent mind—not by reading more, but by dwelling deeply on a single line until its vibration awakens something within. This session explores how painting can become a powerful means to enter that silence. Participants will stay with a chosen line from Savitri, allowing its mantric force to express itself through colour and form. In this process, painting becomes a yogic practice—stilling the emotional being while opening subtler layers of consciousness. Poetry and music are gently woven into the experience: poetry heightens emotion, music deepens it, and painting stills it, forming three complementary pathways for inner discovery. Artists and non-artists alike are welcome.

The session will be facilitated by Divyanshi Chugh, Founder and CEO of Purnam – Centre for Integrality, a community of over 2,000 seekers. She has designed more than 60 experiential courses rooted in the integral education framework of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother and has guided over 1,000 participants through Savitri Painting. The session will be co-facilitated by Vaishnavi Presingu, Surya Ravishankaran, and Sanjana Reddy.

This gathering also serves as an inner preparation towards The Mother’s 150th birth anniversary in 2028, inviting participants to align consciously with her work through silence, beauty, and aspiration.
