AuroYajna and Uditam are delighted to announce regular batches of Kalaripayattu.
This Vijayadashami, step into the Kalari and begin your journey with Vidyarambham, the sacred initiation into discipline, awareness, and skill.
Traditionally performed to seek the blessings of the Guru, the lineage, and the divine forces, Vidyarambham marks not just the start of physical training, but invoking the purity, the five elements of the nature on the Auspicious “shubh muhurat”.
AuroYajna and Uditam invite all to witness the grace and awareness being practiced through the art of Kalaripayattu.
Kalaripayattu is more than a martial art—it is a path of balance, respect, and transformation of body, mind, and spirit. Avail the facility offered by Auroyajna and Uditam. Take the first step this Dussehra, to awaken the warrior within.
Join this workshop from 2nd October 2025 with sessions from 5:30 to 6:30 pm IST at MatriNiketan, 34, Maravadi Street, Kuruchikuppam, Puducherry, 605012.
Meet the Trainer: Sri Chandramohan is a multi-disciplinary
movement artist deeply rooted in Kalaripayattu — often regarded as the mother of martial traditions. Trained under Lakshman Gurukkal and his disciples at Kalarigram, one of India’s foremost Kalari centers, he now continues this living lineage as a trainer and guide.
His practice bridges Kalari, contemporary dance, choreography, acting, and somatic exploration, creating a dialogue between tradition and modern expression. With over 12 years of experience in movement education, Chandramohan’s teaching style combines rigor with openness, enabling learners of all backgrounds to discover both strength and fluidity. His approach reflects the Kalari principle of harmonizing body, mind, and spirit.
