As a mark of celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo and 75th year of Indian independence, a special event will be organized on 9 September 2022, by Sri Aurobindo Society (AuroMedia and AuroBharati) in collaboration with Auroville. This event includes film screening of the recently released film ‘The Transformation’ produced by Sri Aurobindo Society in collaboration with the Kolkata Sukriti Foundation.

The film revolves around the time when Sri Aurobindo was in jail in Alipore from 1908-1909. It has been shot at actual locations wherever possible. Rare newspapers from the British Library and the National Library with actual writings from Sri Aurobindo form the basis of this film.

The event begins at 05:15 PM and will be facilitated by Dr Beloo Mehra of AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society.
