As part of Sri Aurobindo Society's celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo and 75th year of India's Independence, Renaissance, the e-journal of AuroBharati is starting a special series of talks and events. The series titled 'Re-awakening the Bhārata Shakti: Toward an Indian Renaissance' will offer a variety of learning opportunities building upon some of the topics explored in the Bhārata Shakti exhibition, organised during May 21-May 30, 2022 at Pondicherry.

For thousands of years, India's cultural soft power has had a significant impact on civilisations across the world. India's immense contributions in various intellectual and creative domains -- from literature to science, from philosophy to arts, from astronomy to medicine, and more -- are well documented.

For its next event in the series, "Reawakening the Bharata Shakti: Toward an Indian Renaissance," the Renaissance-AuroBharati team of Sri Aurobindo Society explores the significant impact made by India's artistic and aesthetic traditions, especially its focus on the spiritual basis of arts, in several regions of Asia.

All are invited for the online lecture which is on Saturday, September 3, 2022, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm (IST) / 7:00-8:30 am (CDT)

This lecture will be delivered by Dr. Shashi Bala, a renowned Indologist and Dean of K. M. Munshi Center of Indology at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
