AuroYajna continues the series of workshops on "Towards Self Perfection started in July 2021 as their first step towards Divine Life in Divine Body.

This series is based on Sri Aurobindo's message - "Divine Life cannot manifest without the Divine Body".

Part 1 of the series is "Perfection of the Body".

To have the body as a perfect instrument, every system of the body, viz. the digestive system, the neurological system, the cardiovascular system, and each body organ needs to be perfected and in harmony amongst themselves.

This month AuroYajna wants to improve the framework of the body and hence this month it is “Yoga for the Bones”.

Bones are there to provide support to human body and help form our shape. Although bones are very light, yet they are strong enough to support our entire body weight.

A very significant characteristic of bones is to protect the organs of our body. The skull protects our brain and forms the shape of the face. The spinal cord being a pathway for messages between the brain and the body, is protected by the backbone, or spinal column.

Yoga asanas help the bones to get stronger yet agile and flexible to support the day-to-day activities and throughout the life activities. The asanas in yogic practices are also capable enough to retain the strength and flexibility for a longer duration of life as compared to a common layman’s bones.

With Pranayama practices, healing of the bones is taken care of by rejuvenating the bones’ fluids and other layers of the bones.

The workshop includes other than asanas and pranayama, the deep relaxation techniques e.g., rotation of conscious (previously known as Yoga Nidra) & an in-depth study of bones & joints in the Light of Integral Yoga.
