As part of the ongoing AHAR Rice On-farm experiments, periodical data recording of rice plants are being done in Bahour Commune of Puducherry. Bahour is the rice bowl of Puducherry with lush and green rice fields and having soil which is very fertile and having adequate irrigation sources. As part of the continuing research with homeo-medicines in agriculture, the task of taking lab-level experimentation to farmers was taken up from the month of May 2021 and data recordings are taken up at all important growth-phases of the crop.
A consultative meeting with Prof. Mohan Ramalingam, Professor of Agronomy, Pandit Jawaharlal Agriculture College and Research Institute (PAJANCO&RI), Karaikal was held on 28th August 2021 where the data-recording protocols were reviewed thoroughly with the AHAR Project team.
A second set of farmers would be joining the AHAR On-farm Research with rice cultivation by end of September 2021.
