The pandemic has shown its effect on almost all the people not sparing the lives of the vulnerable people in villages. Usually, Sarvam organizes training and recreation programmes for vulnerable people every year, but this year because of the pandemic, the vulnerable people were unable to attend any training programmes.
Considering this, Sarvam organized a one-day motivational programme for the vulnerable people at the Satyam Training Centre, Poothurai village. Around 125 women mostly widows and destitute attended this training session.
Pan India experts on Psychology and Nursing officers interacted with these vulnerable women and helped them gaining confidence. Usually, vulnerable women will just attend the workshop and they will not take active participation in the activities. In this workshop, the facilitators made it a point that all of them participate in all the activities. This made them interact with all the members and they were able to find some solutions for their doubts and livelihood issues.
Some interesting topics that were covered during this workshop were tips on leading a successful and happy life, whom to consider as a role model, and how to become a role model yourself. These and other few topics were of much interest to the participants and they thoroughly utilised the workshop.
The level of confidence of these people soared high which was evident from their happy smiles.
