Sri Aurobindo Society under the Svarnim Puducherry initiative and in collaboration with the State COVID War Room, Department of Health, Govt. of Puducherry has taken up a Research Study in 20 villages falling under the command area of Bahour PHC (Public Health Centre) and its sub centres covering a total population of 30,000 people.  This study will have questions ranging from COVID disease occurrence, presence of any existing comorbidities, vaccination coverage, vaccine hesitancy, and reasons thereof etc. 

The study is a massive one with about 30 enumerators working parallely in all the 20 villages.  These enumerators were trained on the study methodology by the Svarnim Puducherry Core Team comprising of

Dr. R Senthilkumar, Dr. Jayachandran and Dr. P.R. Vinothkumar on 21st July 2021. The study started on 22nd July 2021 from the villages of Melparikalpet and Keezhparikkalpet.

Currently, parallel data entry work,  data-cleaning and data-integrity check is being done and the processed data would be shared with the State COVID War room as well would be used for 100% vaccine coverage campaign which Svarnim Puducherry team would be doing.
