On December 5, 2018, on Sri Aurobindo’s Mahasamadhi Day, a collective meditation was held at our Noida Centre in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile through the month, several videos of talks by Dr. Alok Pandey were screened on topics such as “The Complexity of Human Nature and the Individual” on December 2; “Savitri Overview – Part 1. Introduction and Beginning” on December 8; “Savitri Overview – Part 2: The issue and the Advent of Savitri” on December 15; “Savitri Overview – Part 3. The Seer Aswapati’s Journey & the Divine Mother’s Boon” on December 22; and “Savitri Overview – Part 4. The Divine Mother’s Example & Challenge of Fate & Death – Yoga of the Earth” on December 30.
On December 15, 2018, the second Annual Gita Recitation competition for school children was held. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana by students of Bal Vihar and concluded with distribution of Prizes/Certificates to the participants.
Besides Savitri Reading Sessions were held every Sunday through the month of December 2018.
Joshimath, Uttarakhand
The camp, which was attended by 66 students, began with lighting of the lamp by Principal of the School, Shri Chamola Ji.
This was followed by Matri bandhana music and welcome speech by one of the school’s teachers.
Manjeet Singh, Auro Youth Executive, conducted a meditation session after which Shri Anil Panwar, Society member gave a brief introduction to Sri Aurobindo. Manjeet then gave talks on the following: Auro Youth and the Society; Aim of Life; and Virtues.
Km. Pooja, a college student, gave a brief introduction to the Mother (Sri Maa). This followed a detailed discussion on Career Counseling by Manjeet and a talk on Youth Empowerment delivered by Dr. Charan Singh, Chairman UA, UP.
Finally, Shri Chamola Ji gave the Vote of Thanks.
