Ms. Rupa Saha, Director, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Education, conducted two workshops at Sri Aurobindo International School (SAIS), Patiala and Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education (SASIE), Chandigarh on October 9–12, 2018, to initiate programmes on leadership for students in the schools.
In her 2-day interactive workshops with the teachers at SAIS on October 9 and 10, she deliberated on, with the participants, the concept of leadership and qualities that leaders inspire in others, especially students and youth. Through introspections, it was established that each individual is a potential leader and the teachers must play significant role in identifying and nurturing that potential in the students. Various themes of self-awareness and leadership were taken up and discussions were facilitated on how to integrate them in the normal flow of curriculum in the classes.
At SASIE, on October 11 and 12, Ms. Saha interacted with the teachers as well as a group of students to discuss about the importance of leadership and how to imbibe leadership qualities and love for our motherland India. The students demonstrated their vision about their country through impromptu skits which showcased their awareness about national issues and their determination to set India to the path of dignity and glory.
