The Digital Unify Programme, sponsored by the STMicroelectronics Foundation, New Delhi, in collaboration with Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, was inaugurated on 5 October 2026 by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry at Central Prison, Kalapet, Puducherry.
The initiative is part of the skill development and rehabilitation activities undertaken by Sri Aurobindo Society through the AuroModel Prison Project. It aims to provide inmates with practical digital skills, enhance their confidence and improve their employability. The inauguration marked an important step towards providing structured computer education and digital learning opportunities to inmates.

Shri P. R. Srinivasamurthy, Project Director, explained the purpose of the Digital Unify Programme and outlined the training methodology.
Participation of Inmates
Seven inmates were present during the inauguration and will participate in the current batch of the Digital Unify Programme. The participants will receive practical training in basic computer skills and commonly used digital applications, with an emphasis on hands-on learning.
