SVARNIM welcomed students from Valararaigate Vidyalayam, Tiruchengode, Namakkal, for an experiential learning visit to Aurovanam, enabling them to explore biodiversity, nature, and environmental stewardship through direct engagement with the natural surroundings. Accompanied by their teachers, the students walked through Aurovanam’s dense green cover, moving beneath towering banyan and fig trees with sprawling aerial roots, and pausing along the way to observe the surrounding flora at close quarters. The visit was structured to encourage curiosity and hands-on exploration, with students examining plants, trees, and natural formations first-hand rather than through classroom instruction alone.
Throughout the visit, students engaged actively with their environment, asking questions and sharing observations with their teachers and guides as they moved through the forested trail. The immersive setting of Aurovanam offered a rich, living classroom, allowing students to connect what they learn in textbooks to the real, complex ecosystems around them. The experience aimed to nurture a deeper appreciation for nature and a sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment among the young visitors.
The visit gave students from Tiruchengode a memorable, hands-on introduction to biodiversity and environmental stewardship, reinforcing SVARNIM’s ongoing efforts to make nature education experiential, engaging, and accessible for young learners from across regions.
