Session 1 — Essence
The first session invited participants to recognise that the restless, doubtful surface mind is not the whole of our being. Mental purification is not achieved by fighting with the mind or accumulating more mental knowledge, but by becoming quiet, receptive and open to a deeper consciousness. Through collective aspiration, silence and the Grace of the Divine Mother, the mind can gradually become wider, quieter and more capable of serving as an instrument of the Divine.
Session 2 — Essence
Lifting the veil involves quieting the mind by understanding the desires and attachments that keep it restless, turning inward towards the psychic being, and widening beyond the limitations of our present perspective. Through regular practice, equality and sincere aspiration, we learn to recognise ourselves as the deeper consciousness that holds our changing thoughts and experiences. The work calls for both effort and surrender: to remain receptive without demanding results, to learn from life without becoming entangled in it, and to carry a growing sense of shared being into our relationships and actions. The invitation is to aspire steadily, widen endlessly and allow the Divine to transform the whole of our nature.
Session 3 — Essence
The session invited us to deepen our relationship with the inner being and to allow that discovery to shape the way we live, work and relate to others. Through regular practice, purification, concentration and receptivity, we can gradually loosen the hold of surface movements and become more conscious participants in our own evolution.
The work also asks us to bring sincerity and care to our collective endeavours, offering what we can without clinging to outcomes. With vigilance balanced by lightness, and aspiration supported by love, the inner journey becomes a lived practice: one that can bring greater clarity, harmony and goodness into the world around us.
Feedback
“Gained clarity related to an ongoing inner instability.”
“A lot of peace and joy in listening to Monica's explanation around all the beautiful texts that she read from the treasures of Mother and Sri Aurobindo.”
“The natural ease and Oneness with which Monica compassionately connects with each participant with the intention to give them assurance of a loving beautiful world that we can create within and around us.”
“Full of Divine Presence.”
“This workshop helped me understand some of Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s words and helped me become a little more silent and peaceful.”
“The sessions made me realise that in order to get in touch with our true soul, the lifting of the veil is very important and we have to be aware and have to put effort in our daily life and activities so that the veil can be lifted.”
“Yes, the session have encouraged me to give importance on inner growth so that the veil of impurities and attachments can be lifted and I can get in touch with my true consciousness.”
“The atmosphere was very serene and calm.”
“I joined the sessions so that I could listen and understand a little of the words of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo and the way their words were read and explained, definitely brought me much closer toThe Mother and Sri Aurobindo.”
“A very strong experience, including physically, from the practice part of the first day. In the end, the most important thing for me was the quote that Dr. Gulati read from Sri Aurobindo's essay that the veil cannot be rent in the mortal body, and the subsequent discussion we had about how the veil becomes thin. That changed my whole idea of what the veil is and how it is to be approached.”
“Well, I experienced a shift within myself after attending the sessions which is difficult to explain, but I feel now that with my subtle sight I can see through the veil on an ongoing basis. So my practice is simply to continue to be aware of that as best I can at all times. And also, as mentioned above, not to desire to "rend the veil," but rather to allow it to be but, again, to see through it.”
“It (the atmosphere) was attentive. I only wish there had been more interaction between the presenter and the participants. It felt somewhat stilted to me to have to listen passively while the presenter went on at length over multiple topics (especially on the first day). I feel that the program would have benefitted from an approach more akin to Satsang, where there was a greater sense of inclusiveness, less of a divide between speaker and audience. And more time given to each reading, to allow it to be absorbed in each of us, with an opportunity for discussion, before proceeding on to the next one.”
“The sessions were very helpful towards aligning the right mindset and also long-term strength towards lifting the psychic veil along with the day today life and work.”
“It felt like a practical Synthesis of Yoga in day-to-day personal and professional life space.”
