The AuroModel Prison Project, in collaboration with Shree Varma, Puducherry, organised an Ayurveda Camp at the Central Prison, Kalapet, on 10th August 2026.

The initiative forms part of our Project’s ongoing commitment to promoting the health & well-being for the welfare of inmates. The camp aimed to provide basic Ayurvedic healthcare and create greater awareness among inmates regarding preventive healthcare and personal well-being.

Approximately 90 inmates attended the camp and received medical consultation and treatment for various common health issues, including skin-related conditions and other general ailments. The medical team provided appropriate Ayurvedic guidance and treatment based on the individual needs of the inmates.

The AuroModel Prison Project sincerely acknowledges the honorary services the Shree Varma team for their continued medical support at the Central Prison, Kalapet. Their consistent contribution towards the health and well-being of the inmates is highly valued and strengthens the project’s efforts towards holistic approach, rehabilitation and transformation of the prison environment.
