As part of our ongoing support to prisoners` well-being, On 13th May 2026, the Auro Model Prison Project, in collaboration with Shri Ramajayam Charitable Trust, Puducherry, organised Dental Health Camp at the Central Prison, Kalapet.
This initiative is a key component of our efforts to promote holistic wellness, preventive health care through hygiene-awareness.
Approximately 65 inmates and prison staff were screened for various dental issues, including tooth decay, gum infections and oral hygiene issues. Necessary treatments were provided on-site and individuals requiring further care were identified for follow-up sessions.
Recognising the importance of oral health, we have planned to organise regular follow-up camps to ensure continued monitoring and. treatment Auro Model project, Sri Aurobindo Society extends its heartfelt gratitude to Shri Ramajayam Charitable Trust team for their continuing honorary service at the Central Prison. The Auro Model Prison Project remains committed to this journey of preventive health care and transformative rehabilitation.
