Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry was invited as the Chief Guest to attended the Foundation Day celebration of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Puducherry Centre, Ministry of Culture. On this notable occasion, Dr Sumit Dey, Regional Director, IGNCA Puducherry, Shri Matriprasad, Secretary, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Shri Arsh G, Director, Rashtriya Raksha University, and Dr L Annapoorna, Principal I/C, BPK, graced the event with their presence and insightful contributions.
During the programme, Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy spoke about the significant role of IGNCA in conserving, documenting, and promoting India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. He underlined its efforts in encouraging cultural expression across regions and in enhancing international cultural relations through meaningful academic and artistic collaborations.
As a mark of celebrating the 250th Birth Anniversary of Muthuswamy Dikshitar, the faculty and students of BPK delivered enchanting performances in Carnatic music, reflecting the depth of India’s classical traditions and the commitment of young practitioners to preserving this heritage. Their presentations brought elegance and liveliness to the celebration.
