Divine Shakti — The Mother's Geometry in Flesh and Form (For Website)

From April 7–15, 2026, NAMAH hosted a nine-day online immersion titled Divine Shakti: The Mother's Geometry in Flesh and Form, facilitated by Shweta C. Rajurkar and James Anderson. Conceived as a sacred Sangha, the programme offered participants an experiential entry into the living Presence of the Mother through Her symbol approaching it not as an artistic motif, but as a precise geometry of consciousness. Rooted in the principles of Integral Yoga, the immersion unfolded as a progressive journey of inner alignment, guiding participants to consciously shape body, mind, and heart into instruments of the Divine Will. Each day integrated guided practices, contemplative exercises, symbol-based reflections, collective reading of the Mantric quotes of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, and recitations from Savitri, received as Mantric force rather than literary expression.

The Mother's Symbol as a Living Map

At the heart of the immersion was a deep engagement with the Mother's symbol as a living and operative map of consciousness.

The Central Circle — Unity Consciousness (Day 1)

The Central Circle signifies the psychic being as the inmost Divine presence within the individual. It represents a state of unity in which truth and love act in perfect harmony. Entry into this poise is prepared through love and truth as the two keys the Mother names as essential to crossing its threshold.

The Four Inner Petals — The Four Powers (Days 2-3)

The four inner petals represent the fundamental powers of the Mother, each corresponding to a distinct mode of Divine action. Participants engaged with Sri Aurobindo's descriptions from The Mother, supported by archival recordings of the Mother's own voice, enabling a more direct experiential Divine contact.

Power Manifests As Embodied Practice Themes
Maheshwari Vastness, wisdom, and tranquil wideness Elevating awareness above the mind to cultivate clarity, equanimity, and a widened consciousness.
Mahakali Force, intensity, and transformative power Invoking strength in moments of difficulty; offering resistance and inertia for decisive transformation.
Mahalakshmi Harmony, beauty, and Divine sweetness Cultivating harmony and beauty in thought, feeling, and action; offering oneself in love without asking anything in return.
Mahasaraswati Precision, perseverance, and perfect execution Bringing sincerity and meticulous attention into every detail of work and daily life.

The Twelve Outer Petals — The Twelve Attributes

A central insight emerging during the immersion was the twofold movement of the twelve attributes: The first eight orient the being towards the Divine, while the final four express that realisation in relation to the world.

Orientation Towards the Divine (Days 4-7)

Quality Key Teaching Embodied Practice Themes
Sincerity Aligning all parts of the being with the highest truth one knows. Offer insincerity to the inner fire; let it burn brighter.
Humility  Recognising the Divine as the sole doer. Cast off vanity; become a transparent vessel.
Gratitude A spontaneous response to the presence of grace. Revisit life in the Divine’s light; offer unrecognised grace.
Perseverance Steady will that endures and completes. Offer carelessness; invoke Mahasaraswati’s perfection.
Aspiration Upward movement of consciousness towards the Divine. Live in remembrance; balance aspiration with receptivity.
Receptivity A still and open state that allows the Divine to act. Gather within, widen without; aspire and receive.
Progress Continuous growth entrusted to the Divine Grace. Offer all defects; entrust progress to Grace.
Courage Calm strength and fearlessness in all circumstances. Invoke Mahakali; embody fearless strength.

Expression Towards Humanity (Days 8-9)

Goodness The recognition of the Divine essence in all beings. See the good in all; refine your sight.
Generosity Self-giving free from expectation or calculation. Give freely; all that flows is Hers.
Equality Inner balance rooted in Oneness beyond dualities. Remain detached; stay equal in all dualities.
Peace A dynamic stillness that sustains and supports transformation. Invoke peace; receive its descent through the being.

Each quality was explored through a combination of reflection and embodied experiential practice, enabling participants to internalise these attributes as living movements rather than abstract ideals.

Integral Practices for Daily Living

The immersion emphasised the integration of practice into the continuity of daily life, offering participants a framework for sustained Sadhana:

  • Awareness of Breath — Observing the natural rhythm of breathing to access inner stillness and presence.
  • The Mother's Mantra — The inward repetition of "Maa" to cultivate a living, constant connection.
  • Mirror of Consciousness — Developing the capacity to observe one's inner movements with clarity and detachment.
  • Remembrance and Offering — Maintaining a continuous inner offering of all actions and experiences to the Divine.
  • Extension into Sleep — Carrying awareness into the dream state as part of an unbroken practice.
  • Centring Above the Head — Returning frequently to the space above the head to access silence and wideness.
  • The Psychic Fire — Nurturing an inner fire of aspiration and offering all resistances into it.
  • Spinal Awareness — Coordinating breath and awareness to align the being around its inner centre.
  • Savitri as Mantric Support — Using selected lines as a vibrational aid to inner transformation.

Addressing Obstacles in Practice

The facilitators also offered clear guidance on common challenges encountered in Sadhana:

  • Spiritual Pride — Countered through genuine humility and surrender.
  • Insincerity — Brought to light through vigilant self-observation and inner offering.
  • Inertia — Overcome by invoking force and conscious effort.
  • Resentment and Complaint — Transformed through the conscious cultivation of gratitude.
  • Conditional Giving — Purified by reorienting all action as offering rather than exchange.

Conclusion

The programme concluded not as a completed course, but as the beginning of an ongoing inner journey. Participants reported a deepened awareness, a widening of inner space, and a renewed commitment to conscious living. The collective field of the Sangha emerged as a sustaining force, where individual aspiration was strengthened through shared intention.

Divine Shakti ultimately offered more than a structured immersion. It presented a lived orientation to embody the Mother's guidance in daily life, and to progressively shape one's existence into an expression of harmony, sincerity, and conscious delight.

Feedback

“A complete experience of what lies behind the symbol... not merely a theory, but the integration of the symbol into my very being.”

“I don’t know if I can put it into words… but I felt as though I was absorbing every single one of those aspects and qualities with my whole being. In the fourth session, I felt very grateful to see my lack of total and absolute sincerity (that’s where the change begins). I felt a true connection within the group even though were far apart and I felt That which each person expressed through their voice...I could write countless other things... In short, I felt the Mother’s presence very strongly.”

“I feel a deep devotion to Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, and of all their works, "Savitri" is the greatest gift I have received in this life. But I must admit that, until now, the symbol of The Mother had been something rather abstract to me... So thank you for turning it into such an intensely vivid experience.”.”

“Absolutely everything... nothing was left over, nothing was missing.”

“My relationship with the Mother has always been very, very deep, yet something has happened that I cannot explain...”

“As I said before, there was something very special in the voices of the people in the group who were able to be there every day... if I had to sum it up in one word, I’d say ‘family’.

{Take homes?]

“Many things, little difficult to express in words.”

“Lots! But if I had to choose just one, I’d go for the simplicity of invocation through the breath...Ma.”

“I was amazed to see, how Mother was expressed through dear James & Sweta...”

“Felt more close to Mother, You both dear James & Sweta successfully created a spiritual homely atmosphere, which helped me a lot to understand and experience Motherly touch...”

“Spiritual homely atmosphere.”

“Knowing the Mother is jumping in the ocean without knowing the depth & length of the water, but it is an wonderful experience because in your heart knows SHE will pull you in one way or other. The faith & aspiration guide you whenever, wherever, whatever needed for your growth in physically, mentally, psychologically, emotionally & spirally.”

“Actually, after attending the sessions, I found I don't know anything about the Divine Mother even though I am visiting samadhi more than 35 years & read all of Her & Bhaghavan’s books. Humility is increased & aspiration is raising to know & feel Her presence & searching more & more receptivity to constant remembrance of Her not only in this life but whenever taking birth in this earth.”

“Guided meditation by James was very helpful!”

“I would like to spend a few minutes daily, in the morning and in the evening, connecting with The Mother, taking the Mother’s name, MAA with each in breath and out breath. I aspire to open more to The Mother and increase my receptivity.”

“Iwas only able to attend the sessions, live, on the weekends. I am yet to finish listening to

recordings of all the other days’ sessions that I did not attend. I found the Collective

atmosphere to be very peaceful, very helpful!”

“It was an experiential workshop, not just theory and I loved that. The facilitators conducted it with great kindness and awareness.”
