SARVAM successfully conducted an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for 300 rural women entrepreneurs on 16 December 2025 at the Satyam Community Centre. Participants from 20 villages were trained in four well-structured batches to ensure effective engagement, interaction, and learning. The programme was conceptualised to strengthen entrepreneurial capacities among rural women and support them in initiating and managing sustainable enterprises, thereby fostering economic empowerment and self-reliance.

The training was delivered by experienced and qualified resource persons who brought practical, field-based insights into the sessions. A participatory and learner-centric approach was adopted, emphasising activities, role-plays, group discussions, and experience sharing. This interactive methodology enabled participants to grasp concepts easily, relate them to real-life business situations, and confidently articulate their challenges and aspirations in an open, supportive environment.

The programme covered a comprehensive range of topics essential for entrepreneurial success. Foundational sessions on Basics of Income Generation (BOIG) and entrepreneurial competencies helped participants develop business-oriented thinking. Additional modules on time management, soft skills, and financial discipline enhanced personal effectiveness, decision-making abilities, and responsible financial practices critical for sustaining enterprises.

Practical business aspects were addressed through focused sessions on digital marketing, market study, business launch formalities, banking procedures, and sources of finance. Participants were also informed about relevant government schemes, enabling them to access institutional support, subsidies, and financial assistance. These inputs equipped the women with the necessary knowledge to formalise, promote, and scale their ventures.

A key highlight of the programme was the sharing of success stories by established entrepreneurs, whose journeys served as powerful sources of inspiration and motivation. Their experiences reinforced the belief that entrepreneurship is achievable despite challenges. Overall, the Entrepreneurship Development Programme significantly enhanced the participants’ skills, confidence, and motivation, contributing meaningfully to rural women’s economic empowerment and sustainable livelihood development.
