Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary of AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, participated in the "Student’s Induction Program" for the P.G. Diploma in Agamic Studies & Indian Knowledge Systems, which was organized by the Department of History at the School of Social Sciences & International Studies, Pondicherry University, on October 23, 2025. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between Sri Aurobindo Society and Pondicherry University, Dr. Tripathy provided support to the Faculty of History in establishing the P.G. Diploma in Agamic Studies & Indian Knowledge Systems.
During the meeting, Prof. N. Chandramouli, head of the Department of History, welcomed the dignitaries and elaborated on the inception of the idea to create the Center for Agamic Studies and Indian Knowledge Systems. He expressed gratitude to Prof. Madhu Khanna, a prominent figure in tantric studies and founding Trustee of the Tantra Foundation in New Delhi, as well as to Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, for their academic contributions towards the establishment of the center.

On this occasion, Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy delivered a talk titled "Sri Aurobindo and Sanatana Dharma: Revival of Indian Knowledge Systems, Cultural Identity & Sustainability." He articulated that Sri Aurobindo significantly contributed to the revival of Sanatana Dharma, which serves as the spiritual and cultural foundation of India, stating, "The Sanatana Dharma is the spiritual religion that encompasses all religions and all spiritual paths." He perceived it not as a static religion but as a vibrant, universal philosophy that guides human evolution. Through his writings, he underscored the importance of integrating spirituality with education, science, and social advancement.
Dr. Tripathy further remarked that Sri Aurobindo’s vision connected Indian knowledge systems—such as yoga, Vedanta, and holistic learning—to the concepts of national rejuvenation and global harmony. His philosophies continue to motivate cultural identity, sustainability, and the rediscovery of India’s eternal wisdom, which is essential for constructing a spiritually enriched and sustainable future.
On this occasion, Prof. Clement Sagayarajda Lourdes, Director of C&CR at PU, Dr. Sumit Dey, Regional Director of IGNCA in Pondicherry, Prof. Dominic Goodall, Head of EFEO in Pondicherry, Dr. Nanda Kishor, Head of the Department of Politics & International Studies at Pondicherry University, Prof. Balanehru S, Principal of the School of Bio-Medical Sciences and Chairperson of the Indian Knowledge System Science Education & Research Academy (IKSSERA) at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in Pondicherry, along with Dr. Ruman Banerjee, Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Pondicherry University, shared their innovative perspectives on Indian Knowledge Systems and their relevance in the current context.
Dr. Tripathy highlighted that, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between SAS and PU, initiatives will be launched to promote collaborative research and outreach activities aimed at disseminating Indian Knowledge Systems on a global scale.
Additionally, a tree plantation program was organized at the New Building of the Department of History, Pondicherry University on this occasion.
