A Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Parenting Skills was organised at Satyam for 20 selected volunteers. The session was facilitated by an expert trainer from Jasmine Training, who provided comprehensive insights into effective parenting practices. The primary aim of the programme was to prepare volunteers with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools needed to guide parents in fostering healthy family relationships and nurturing their children’s overall development.
The trainer presented key concepts in a clear and relatable manner, connecting them to everyday family situations. Topics included positive communication, discipline with love, balancing parental responsibilities, and supporting children’s education. The emphasis was on equipping volunteers with simple yet powerful strategies that parents could easily integrate into their daily lives.
To ensure active participation, the training incorporated role-plays, group exercises, and interactive activities. Volunteers shared their personal experiences, which enriched discussions and created a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere. These participatory methods not only deepened their understanding but also strengthened their motivation to carry the learnings back to their communities.
By the conclusion of the programme, all 20 volunteers expressed a strong commitment to disseminating the knowledge they had gained to parents in their localities. They appreciated the trainer’s engaging style, the practical relevance of the content, and the confidence the session had instilled in them. Overall, the programme was a significant step in empowering volunteers to become effective change agents, contributing to stronger families and improved child development.
