On 6th September 2025, SARVAM organised a special awareness programme on Character Building and Abuse Prevention at the Satyam Community Centre. The training brought together 150 students from 10 villages and was led by an experienced trainer who has long worked with young people. The primary objective was to instil values of integrity, respect, and responsibility, while equipping students with the awareness and skills needed to protect themselves from different forms of abuse.

The session adopted a highly engaging format, beginning with real-life stories and examples that helped students relate closely to the concepts being shared. These narratives emphasised the importance of making the right choices, standing up for what is right, and recognising unsafe situations. They also demonstrated how courage and strong character can empower individuals to overcome challenges within their schools, families, and communities.

To further enhance learning, the trainer introduced group activities and role-plays. These interactive exercises encouraged critical thinking, confidence building, and the practice of effective responses to situations such as peer pressure, bullying, and abuse. Students participated enthusiastically, appreciating the opportunity to voice their thoughts and emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

The programme concluded with an open question-and-answer session, during which students clarified their doubts and shared concerns. The trainer’s patient and thoughtful responses offered practical guidance for dealing with difficult situations in life with maturity and resilience.

Overall, the training was a resounding success. It left a deep and lasting impression on the participants, motivating them to strengthen their character, uphold their values, and protect themselves and others from harmful influences.
