The Sacred Relationships programme, with Smrati Humar, was a journey of deep reflection, self-discovery and experiential learning. Each session offered a unique emphasis, yet together they formed a coherent path toward greater awareness of ourselves, others, and the divine presence within relationships.
From the very beginning, the invitation was to see relationships as sacred spaces where one can be fully authentic, where growth is nurtured and where the practice of honouring another’s essence becomes a gateway to a divine connection. The blend of Ayurveda, teachings from the Mother and Sri Aurobindo and practical reflection exercises gave both structure and depth to this exploration.
Sacred relationships were revealed not as perfect bonds, but as living practices where awareness, balance, and surrender create harmony.
Personally, what resonated most was the shift from seeing others not through the lens of their shortcomings, but through the recognition of their elemental gifts. The programme emphasised that love matures when it is spacious, when it grants freedom and when it aligns with higher forces rather than personal expectations.
The progression from discovering elemental nature, to restoring balance, to reflecting on relational impact, and finally to aligning with natural and divine rhythms created a sense of completeness. It left the impression that sacred relationships are both a mirror and a path; mirrors that reveal our tendencies and triggers and a path that guides us toward greater harmony, openness, and spiritual growth.
All in all, this programme was not only about relationships with others, but about relationships with self, with nature, and with the Divine. It offered a way to experience love not as possession or demand, but as freedom, presence, and shared evolution.

Helped to resolve any relationship blockages?
“Yes. For example, in the way to bring more understanding into conflicts and blockages between 2 people with for example aggravated pitta (own experience),- and through that understanding – letting it soak in, – and instead of reacting immediately with anger in such situation, becoming possibly more generous, wide and forgiving.”
“Yes. To understand better the doshas - and how to deal with them and apply this understanding “in difficult or awkward situations.”
Brought closer to the Mother & Sri Aurobindo?
“Of course, connecting with oneself is, from my perspective, understanding yourself better, and be more aligned with your psychic being and the Divine. Very grateful for having had the chance to attend that webinar. Brilliant work, Smrati and James for spotting such talent.”
“In the way to learn and be able to live increasingly in a more peaceful relation and understanding with one`s immediate surrounding and being more peaceful, is surely a wonderful tool to increase peace in oneself and thus becoming nearer to Mother and Sri Aurobindo in one’s daily activities and dealings with other Beings.”
“Keeping good peaceful relationships, means dealing with relationships in a peaceful manner, is surely a great help in the yoga,- to keep peaceful mind and attitude in all circumstances and thus to experience more the Presence of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo! Thankyou.”
