Reflections on “Change Your Thoughts & Change Your Life” From July 29th to 31st, NAMAH held a workshop titled “Change Your Thoughts & Change Your Life”, guided by Amit Bhatia. A transformative three-day workshop where we learnt to shift limiting beliefs, heal emotional wounds, and reconnect with our inner worth. Through powerful practices like affirmations, forgiveness, and self-esteem work, we released guilt and resentment, spoke empowering truths, and reclaimed our confidence. Each session included guided exercises, mindset tools, and reflection to help align our inner world with the life we’re ready to manifest. Practices shared became a thread that wove through each day, anchoring us in the sacred space.
Day 1: Forgiveness
Forgiveness was presented not as a passive act of forgetting but as a conscious, soul-centred process of emotional release. Forgiveness, for me, was redefined; not as forgetting or excusing, but as a sacred act of emotional release. I realised how much energy I had unknowingly invested in holding onto resentment and
guilt, letting those stories shape my inner landscape. The journalling exercise was powerful; writing to someone I hadn’t forgiven unearthed emotions I thought were long gone. As I poured my feelings onto paper, I felt a lightness in my breath, a spaciousness in my chest — as if something had finally been set free. The guided meditation deepened this release, reminding me that forgiveness is not just for others but for myself. I saw how karmic weight dissolves when I choose to let go and how the soul — untouched by ego — naturally moves toward peace. Forgiveness became a doorway to reclaiming my inner freedom.
Day 2: Self-Esteem and Self-Love
This session invited me into a deeper enquiry: What do I truly believe about myself? And where do those beliefs come from? Writing down the negative messages I had absorbed—from family, society, and even my own inner critic—was sobering. But pairing each one with a soul affirmation felt like rewriting my story from the inside-out. I began to see that self-love isn’t about inflating the ego but about honouring the Divine within. When I named the qualities that I genuinely love about myself, I felt a shift — not pride, but quiet joy. Sharing in the group amplified this feeling; each person’s truth became a mirror for my own. I understood that the soul sees no imperfection, only potential. And every time I repeat my affirmations, I’m choosing to live from that truth.
Day 3: Affirmation as a Living Practice
Affirmation became more than words — it became a vibration, a breath, a way of being. I learnt to listen to the voice of my soul and distinguish it from the voice of fear. Crafting affirmations from my current challenges helped me reframe my experience: instead of reacting from pain, I could respond from love. The body-scan meditation was especially revealing. I noticed tension around my lower abdomen — a place where resistance and old emotions had settled. Breathing into that space while repeating, “I belong to the Divine” felt like a gentle unravelling. I also reflected on my health and saw how blame had subtly crept in. Releasing that blame wasn’t easy, but it felt empowering. I now carry the affirmation: “I release all blame and reclaim my power.” It reminds me that I am not a victim of circumstance but a co-creator with the Divine. These three days have been a journey inward — peeling back layers of ego, pain, and doubt to uncover the radiant truth of who I am. I feel more aligned, more spacious, and more committed to living from my soul. The practices, teachings, and shared reflections have become anchors for my sadhana. I know now that transformation begins with a single breath, a single affirmation, a single act of forgiveness — and that each one brings me closer to the light within.

The program gave me the knowledge & reminder about the value & power of affirmations. It made me realize how important it is to forgive yourself & people in order to break the karmic cycle. This gave me a clarity to change my mind by consciously changing the thoughts by affirmations.
“But I wasn’t that comfortable during the sessions with partners… rather I wish it could have been one to one individual 10 minutes with the facilitator.”
“The atmosphere was light and positive. The facilitator had a calm energy.”
Did the workshop bring you closer to the Mother and Sri Aurobindo?
