To commemorate International Yoga Day 2025 and its global theme “One Earth, One Health,” Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, organised a landmark interdisciplinary seminar titled “One Mission, One Health” on 19 June 2025. The event brought together major healing systems—including Allopathy, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Nursing, Salutogenesis, and Indian Cultural practices—offering a vibrant platform for integrative dialogue and a shared vision for conscious healthcare.

The seminar was inaugurated by Thiru K. Lakshminarayanan, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Puducherry, who emphasised the importance of harmonising ancient wisdom with modern healthcare approaches. The gathering saw active participation from medical experts, yoga practitioners, educators, and students representing institutions such as SVYASA (Bengaluru), ISCM - Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Indira Gandhi Medical College, College of Nursing (IGMCRI), and the Indian Yoga Association.

Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy welcomed the participants and set the tone for the day. In his opening remarks, Shri Pradeep Narang, Chairperson of Sri Aurobindo Society, highlighted the urgent need to adopt a consciousness-based approach to health. Dr. Madanmohan (JIPMER), the Guest of Honour, drew from over five decades of experience in medical education to stress the importance of value-based healing, while keynote speaker Dr. Premila Thamizhvannan spoke on reconnecting with nature as the foundation for true healing.

The expert sessions included a variety of themes such as “Nature’s Pharmacy” by Dr. Arundhati Goley, “Mantra Healing” by Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, “Yoga for Addiction” by Dr. Balaji R., “Homeopathy: A Unique and Dynamic Healing System” by Dr. Arati Sharma, and “Salutogenesis: The Science of Health and Wellness” by Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani.

A compelling panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Uttareshwar Pachegaonkar, bringing together a distinguished group of experts to explore collaborative models for conscious healthcare. The panel included Dr. Madanmohan Trakroo, Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Dr. Joy Emmanuel, Dr. Arundhati Goley, and Dr. B. Rajalakshmi. Each panelist shared valuable insights from their respective fields—Dr. Joy Emmanuel elaborated on the principles and relevance of Ayurveda, while Dr. B. Rajalakshmi spoke about the Siddha system and its enduring importance. Together, the panel illuminated the path toward integrative healing by honouring the strengths of diverse traditions while envisioning a unified, consciousness-based approach to healthcare.

Dr. Arati Sharma, the seminar convener, delivered the vote of thanks, noting: "This is not just a seminar but a movement—a call to awaken the collective responsibility of all healing systems for a healthier and more conscious world." Student leaders from SVYASA—Sayma Khan, Avantika Kodap, and Tejasvini Pachegaonkar—were also appreciated for their active involvement in health awareness campaigns.

The day concluded with a community lunch hosted by Shri Shekhar M.K. from AuroYagna, symbolising holistic nourishment and collective harmony.

This seminar marks a progressive step in India’s healthcare dialogue—where scientific systems meet in spirit and intention, nurturing future collaborations and reinforcing a path toward integrative and consciousness-driven healing.
