Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry attended the Book Launch and Philanthropic Initiative event organized by the Midam Foundation at the Crystal Banquet Hall in Atithi, Pondicherry. During this event, the book "Floral Meditation with The Mother," authored by first-time writer Chitra Suresh, was unveiled.

The event highlighted the profound spiritual significance of flowers as conveyed by The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Madhusudan Damle, the President of the Midam Foundation, expressed the idea that flowers possess a healing quality that goes beyond their physical attributes. He shared his personal journey in creating floral remedies at KVM Research Laboratories, a research center dedicated to Ayurveda, and reflected on the potential of flowers to promote inner tranquility and spiritual elevation.

On this occasion, Dr Tripathy spoke on the Spiritual Significance of Flowers through the lens of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Flowers are often regarded as emblems of life, growth, and transformation, serving as vital instruments in healing and spiritual practices. In relation to ‘Floral Meditation with The Mother,’ I elaborated on the healing properties of flowers, which are frequently linked to their energy, color, fragrance, and inherent qualities.

Dr Tripathy highlighted ancient healing traditions that utilize flowers in various forms, such as teas, oils, and poultices, to enhance wellness. Numerous spiritual practices incorporate floral imagery, particularly in mandalas, to aid meditation and healing. The flowers featured in the book have been selected based on the author’s intuition and insight, complemented by her inspired commentary and original photographs as part of ‘Floral Meditations with The Mother.’Emphasized ancient techniques that harmonize with nature's wisdom, presenting a holistic approach to well-being through the deep connection between humanity and the natural environment.

Gayatri Majumdar, editor and publisher, highlighted The Mother’s vast documentation of over 900 flowers and their significance.  Author Chitra Suresh shared how writing this book helped her balance work, personal life, and spiritual growth.

In a significant philanthropic effort, the event also flagged off the Krishna’s Butter Mission, aiming to donate 10,000 books to children across India. Dr. Bhawna Badhe, Senior Pathologist at JIPMER and author of Krishna’s Butter, launched the book in nine languages, making it accessible to diverse communities.

Avanti Badhe, Vice President of Midam Foundation, shared insights on the Gita-based educational module, which is currently being researched in collaboration with national and international organizations. The initiative aims to teach children universal values of oneness and inclusivity, beyond boundaries of language, culture, and nationality.

Announcing the Krishna’s Butter Mission, Secretary Sushrut Badhe invited philanthropists, teachers, and well-wishers to join hands in donating 10,000 books across the country. At the event, 1,500 books in English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Gujarati were distributed for school children.

With the convergence of literature, spirituality, and education, this event marked a milestone in Midam Foundation’s ongoing mission to integrate ancient wisdom with modern learning, enriching both minds and hearts.
