The third edition of the 4-day Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop, part of the ORC initiative at Svarnim Puducherry, successfully concluded this month. The workshop, aimed at equipping 24 trainers with essential life skills, focused on strengthening their capacity to support students, particularly those dealing with mental health challenges.
Facilitated by experts from Mission Better Tomorrow, Kerala, the workshop introduced new training modules to enhance trainers' effectiveness in delivering impactful sessions. The programme centred around the 10 life skills recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), addressing key areas like emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Over the 4 days, participants engaged in practical activities and discussions, tackling real-world challenges encountered in classroom settings. These open dialogues provided trainers with valuable insights and practical strategies to overcome obstacles, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the diverse needs of students.
By the end of the workshop, trainers not only gained refreshed perspectives but also felt more confident in their ability to offer holistic support to students. This initiative underscores Svarnim Puducherry's ongoing commitment to fostering a nurturing educational environment, empowering both trainers and students alike.
