Start Date:14-Oct-2024

End Date:19-Oct-2024

Location:Online

Institute:SAIIIHR

The workshop, ‘Exploring the dream world’  facilitated by Lopa Mukherjee unfolded over 6 days of insightful discussions with the audience on dreams, their archetypes and significances, ofering tools/techniques to develop the capacity to interpret and control our dreams.

The workshop started off with a broad introduction to dreams, their significance, how an individual’s sleep-cycles between restful sleep and dreams. How one can prepare oneself before sleep to be able to experince meaningful dreams was also explained.

The speaker throughout the workshop guided the participants through various visualisation exercises and other visual aids to explore different dreamwork techniques, e.g. lucid dreaming, dream the dream forward, group dream works, etc., which assist in acquiring control over one’s dreams. Lucid dreaming can be incredibly empowering, as it allows the dreamer to change scenarios, stop negative events (like being chased or confronted by a dangerous animal), and explore their subconscious desires or fears.

The speaker also emphasised dream archetypes and how these archetypes can give valuable pointers to interpreting dreams. The goal is to explore which aspects of these archetypes the participants may have suppressed or ignored in their waking lives and how they can bring these energies back into balance. The speaker encouraged the participants to view their dreams as containing not only personal significance but also universal messages. Archetypes such as kings, queens, warriors, nurturers and inner children appear in these dreams, representing different parts of the self.

The speaker also covered premonitory dreams and how the subtle physical perception can be enhanced to perceive events even before they have happened in the physical plane. Throughout the workshop, the Speaker frequently highligheds the Mother’s insights and experiences on dreams which helped to understand better the topics covered.

Overall, the workshop was highly interactive with the participants participating very enthusiastically and sharing their reflections on the visualisation exercises as well as their past experiences, which added immensely to the overall learning.

Feedback :

“During the sessions, and the nights in between, very dreamful and was able to understand the connect between the session and the dreams that were playing up. This seems to be a start of a journey, an urge to keep travelling with the group has come up. “

“Yes, hearing Lopa reading out from Mother and Sri. Aurobindo, it was very facilitating. thank you very much for Bringing these sessions”.

“How infinite are the possibilities that are available to us if we set free our consciousness and being to expand and break the limits that conditioning imposes on our thoughts and feelings.”

“I realized that we could use our dreams as a source of transcendental messages that can elevate our consciousness and give clues to solving our life problems.”

“Very joyful and playful with all the interactive exercises Lopa has presented to us. The group energy was very warm and intimate. I highly appreciate the diversity of resources related to dreams that Lopa tapped into.”

“I deeply appreciated the passages brought about the Mother’s experiences and her profound knowledge about the dream world.”

“It's short and I feel require more practice to share any such experience. Not judging but just being honest, that there was not much experience. maybe certain things were first time and it took time to get into it. “

“Some participants took away more time talking out of context.”

“The wealth of information shared by Lopa about the realm of dreams is a very valuable source that I will use as a tool box for interpreting my dreams in the future.”

“The small group made it quite easy to feel and connect. Though at many points during conversation I felt overwhelmed or disconnected. overall energy in group was very fluid and dynamic in nature. It could have been little stronger.”

 [Sleep more conscious?]

“Yes, in many aspects. Now I try to relax my body before I fall asleep, and I try to focus on one point to silence the mind, and ask the dream guide to show me what I need to know at this point of my life through my dreams. I even started to make sure I don’t eat 3 hours before bedtime not for health reasons but in an attempt to have more conscious sleep! “

“To good extent yes. I still have to follow all the direction shared for getting into sleep.”

[Help recall dreams?]

“Yes, it did, several dreams… the village, the archetypes, the fluidity, the dream forward structures, group dreaming to get more light in the process, etc. was really helpful.”

“Very supportive, Learning, resourceful.”
