Goal-Setting Workshop for AuroSakhis and Volunteers

SARVAM regularly provides AuroSakhis (AS) and volunteers with workshops and training.

In addition to the motivational workshop for AS and volunteers, a goal-setting workshop was also conducted. The goal-setting workshop complements the motivation workshop by providing individuals with the necessary tools and strategies to set specific and achievable goals. By setting goals, individuals have a direction to work towards and are more likely to feel motivated and driven to achieve them.

This aligned motivation and goal-setting help to create a sense of purpose and fulfilment in individuals' work. Having a sense of purpose and fulfilment in work can increase job satisfaction, higher productivity, and greater well-being. When individuals feel that their work has meaning and can make a difference, they are more likely to be engaged and committed to their job. This can also lead to improved job performance, as individuals are motivated to go above and beyond to achieve success and fulfilment in their work.

During the workshop, there were a lot of activities, stories, and role-playing. The activities during the workshop were effective in engaging the participants and facilitating learning. Stories, role-playing, and interactive exercises allowed participants to participate actively in learning, enhancing their understanding of the subject matter. The activities were enjoyable and contributed to a meaningful and memorable workshop experience. Interactive exercises are highly effective in facilitating engagement as they encourage active participation and require individuals to take ownership of their learning. Engaging in stories, role-playing, and other interactive activities makes participants more likely to retain information, develop new skills, and have a positive workshop experience. Additionally, these exercises foster collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

In the workshop, key strategies discussed included:

  • Setting clear goals.
  • Breaking them down into smaller and achievable tasks.
  • Creating a timeline for completion.

Participants also learned about the importance of accountability, regular self-reflection, and seeking support from others. Additionally, the workshop emphasized the power of positivity and visualization in reaching those goals.

The workshop ended with all participants feeling very motivated and dreaming about the effective goals they would achieve. In response to this workshop, they requested more motivational seminars.
