SARVAM had a special celebration on International Mother’s Day with more than 200 mothers and 400 children in 12 villages.

“One of the most important relationships we’ll have is our relationship with our mothers.”

Mother’s Day is an occasion celebrated in various parts of the world to express respect, honour, and love towards mothers. The day is an event to honour the contribution of mothers and acknowledge the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society.

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss, was zealously enjoyed by everyone. All children, irrespective of nationalities, castes, cultures, and gender, have emotions binding them to their mothers.

Considering this bonding emotion, SARVAM had a special celebration on Mother’s Day with more than 200 mothers and 400 children participating. Coordinators made an earnest effort to instil the importance of motherhood in a child’s life through effective moral stories, sharing the memories of the mother, presenting the greeting card and small game activities for the mothers.

The children were engaged in activities that made their mothers feel special and unique and also brought a smile to their faces. The children passionately got involved in creating beautiful greeting cards for their mothers.

The tiny tots came up with new and innovative ideas for their cards, and they intensely and devotedly spoke about their mothers. It was a pleasure for the mothers to watch their dynamic and energetic children prepare something special for them. The outcome of their efforts was marvellous. Each card was unique and different in its own way.

In the painting activities, both the mother and their child printed their hands, and it was a great happy moment to print their love. What more could have made “Mother’s Day” more special than this?

The happy and excited mothers took part in the various games. Some events were team events comprising of the mother and child. Children were delighted to see the enthusiasm of mothers participating in the activities.

It was a very happy and touching day since Mother is the prime focus of the day as ever.
