World Children's Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide and improve children's welfare.
Every year, SARVAM celebrates International Children's Day with many activities, in association with Shanti Ashram, as part of its annual celebration of International Children's Day.
This year, at 12 locations, SARVAM conducted poster activities, group discussions, and speeches. Around 500 children participated in these activities.
This programme introduced students to the importance of child protection and their role in ensuring the safety of children.
As a followup to the brief introduction, all students were asked to develop and create posters that addressed their role in child safety.
This activity was delightful for the students, and they got motivated to participate by playing an active role in child safety. Their posters demonstrated each student's inventiveness, innovation, and imagination.
There were group discussions on child safety. The posters developed by the students showed their keen involvement and dedication.
The students felt optimistic about the programme and went out positively.
