Children’s Day Celebrations at SARVAM

Start Date:06-Nov-2022

End Date:14-Nov-2022

Location:12 project villages of SARVAM

Children are the best creation of God.  They spread joy in every season.  When children give us joy, are we not supposed to give them back some happiness?  With this in mind, SARVAM celebrates Children's Day on 14th November every year to honour those kids who give us happiness without expecting anything in return.

This year, 500 children participated in the Children's Day celebrations from 6th November to 14th November 2022 at the 12 centres of SARVAM.

The birth anniversary of India's First Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is celebrated as Children's Day on 14th November.  On this day, events are conducted across India to increase awareness of children's rights, care, and education.

SARVAM'S children's day programme featured an array of interesting and exciting activities, all carefully planned to ensure complete entertainment.  A senior coordinator also spoke about the great leader, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Besides skits, dances, songs, speeches, and essays, the students presented a variety of cultural events.  It was a memorable day for the students since there were many cultural events.

On this occasion, Shanthi Ashram from Coimbatore conducted online poetry, art and singing competitions.  Students actively participated in that also.

All the children were provided healthy snacks on all the programme days.
