On August 12, an online orientation was conducted by the Renaissance-AuroBharati team as part of preparation for an upcoming final presentation of a creative project on August 30, 2022.

At the invitation of the Dean of School of Education, Pondicherry University, Dr. Beloo Mehra, Senior Academic Mentor at AuroBharati designed a project for the second year M.Ed students of Pondicherry University.

As part of this creative project, students will be working together in small groups and preparing a dramatic presentation on the theme of Cultivating Virtues. The project is meant to facilitate the cultivation of higher values in the student-teachers, so that they begin to experience a process of inner growth and transformation.

The project began with Dr. Mehra selecting a few stories told by the Mother. These were sent to the Dean’s office for circulation among the students. The students were divided into three groups. Each group selected one story. These stories emphasise the virtues of courage, gratitude and perseverance.

On August 12, 2022 during a one-hour orientation session led by Dr. Mehra, the groups were explained the various necessary details about the project – e.g. what will be the duration of their group presentation, how they may go about preparing a script based on the story they have selected, number of characters they may introduce based on their group size, planning for costumes, etc.

The groups led by Joseph, Varsha and Bidyut are now working on their scripts and practicing their lines for the dramas they will perform based on the stories.

The students will be presenting their final performances on August 30 at a special event being organised by School of Education and AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society. The details of the event will be announced soon.
