On 25 June, 2022, AURA Shoppe in Pondicherry hosted a delightful evening of launch-readings of books by three poets/writers – Nitya Swaruba, Harvinder Kaur and Gayatri Majumdar.  The authors read excerpts from their books which were all published by Brown Critique Books in the latter half of 2021. 

Two of the books, Songs of the Deep insights on living and The lotus of the heart realization stories-1, are authored by devotees – Harvinder Kaur and Gayatri Majumdar, respectively – who are closely associated with the Sri Aurobindo Society. Harvinder, who also played the flute apart from reading her poems and musings, talked about her inspirations and the genesis of her book. Gayatri, the publisher of Brown Critique Books, shared her views on the philosophy of non-dualism and unraveled how the writer and publisher in her get along or not.

Nitya Swaruba, the third author, read some charming write-ups from It’s Uncomplicated and other painless truths and shared her perspectives on topics such as ‘Love’, ‘Honesty’, ‘Muse’ and ‘Magic’. Attended by 20 people, the event ended with a flute recital and some animated discussions with the audience over herbal tea.
