SARVAM conducted a soft-toy training programme for the women belonging to Poothurai and surrounding villages with the help of RSETI.
The participants received the course completion certificate at the end of the training programme.
SARVAM presented certificates issued by RSETI to its soft toys training program participants.
SARVAM, in association with RSETI, Villupuram provided training for making soft toys to around 35 women. This training took place for 13 days, and the RSETI Director inaugurated it. The objective of this training was to make these 35 women financially and economically strong and to learn new skills to improve their living standards.
The trainer provided practical training for the women, which helped them to learn the art of making toys quickly. These women learnt to make toys of various varieties like teddies, babies, and elephants, to mention a few. The quality and standard of these toys were on par with the branded ones available in the markets.
Soon after completing the training, the participants began making toys and earning money from them. In recognition of their two months of continuous efforts, RSETI provided the certificates to all candidates. The certificates allow them to apply for loans in Nationalized Banks like the Indian banks for their businesses.
Each individual shared how they benefitted from what they learned and related their experiences to the learning.
One trainee said, “This moment when I am receiving the certificate is the prestigious moment in my life.” All the trainees thanked RSETI & SARVAM wholeheartedly.
The women there expressed gratitude to RSETI and SARVAM for bringing a positive change in their lives and livelihoods.
