The 20 participants, which included teachers and children from Sri Aurobindo School, Gadippaly, Telengana, were led into a gradual communion with flowers on the 1st of May, 2022, at the premises of Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry. Priti and Rathi of SAFIER, the integral educational wing of Sri Aurobindo Society, interacted with them. 

The team guided the teachers to invoke quiet, calm, and peace in all their parts of the being and facilitated them to observe and feel a chosen flower through their senses consciously. After studying its physical beauty, they were asked to connect to a special movement in flower and then express themselves through a poem or an artwork. 

Through this session, one attempted to contact the deeper parts of the being, one’s inner friend, by relating oneself with the qualities of a flower. The Mother’s quote explaining what it means to become like a flower in one’s life was readout. Priti and Rathi further educated the participants about the spiritual significance of flowers as given by the Mother. 

The session concluded with a colourful and enthusiastic sharing of lovely drawings and poems. The participants also shared how they felt much more peaceful and were happy to learn a new and beautiful practice to become connected to their ‘Antargata Snēhituḍu’ (Inner Friend in Telegu).
