The Access students were taken to an exposure visit to Gangai Konda Chozhapuram temple located in the Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu on 20th and 27th February 2022. Around 120 students were taken to this visit in two batches considering the COVID-19 protocols. After a short prayer, the bus started from the villages, and around 11.30 a.m. all the students reached the temple.

A short history about the great king Rajendra Chola, who built this temple as a mark of his great victorious march to the river Ganges in Northern India was narrated to the students. After understanding the background of the temple, all the students were asked to go around the temple and visit all the places. They went in groups along with the coordinators and teachers and saw all the important places in the temple and clarified their doubts with the teachers and coordinators.

Students were then taken to the Rajendra Chola 1 museum which is located near the temple. This museum housed many things that were used by the king during his rule. This visit to the museum helped students to learn how the king built the temple and also saw the old coins, swords, and various other things used in the olden days.

After a few minutes of travel, the bus headed towards Vadalur where all the students were taken to the Vallalar temple.

Altogether this educational tour was very helpful for the students as they have learned about many ancient historical places. They also made use of this tour to enhance their language by conversing and clarifying their doubts in English. They also took notes for their future references. It was a real-time experience for them and certainly was a memorable day for all the students.
