Svarnim Puducherry, an initiative of Sri Aurobindo Society, undertook a series water governance program as part of DST, NCSTC outreach plan. Dr. Mansee Bal Bhargava is an eminent architect with more than 2 decades of work on collaborative entrepreneurship, research & education, large scale developmental initiatives and ecological restoration. She was invited to undertake the social, ecological and process impact study as a third-party assessment of the 85th Eri of Pondicherry which is being created in association with Mullodai water Tank Association. She had an interactive session with farmers of Bahour and Eri Sangam members from 11- 15 th Oct, 2021. The new 85th Mullodai Eri tree plantation on the bund embarkment took place on 22nd Oct, 2021. A small pooja along with Palmara plantation undertaken by Madhikrishnapuram villagers, Mullodai Eri Sangam and SAS staff.
Dr. Mansee Bal Bhargava was the key speaker on 16th October, 2021 of “Catch The Rain Campaign” which is a 4-series water talk on every Saturday of the October 2021. She virtually connected with students in Pondicherry and spoke about the reducing water resources and the related rising water distresses and water as a complex social-ecological system which has political and gender implications.
