AuroYouth Camp

One-day AuroYouth camp at Mumbai.

The fourth edition of the AuroYouth Camp was held at The Studio, Fort on 20th October 2019, and saw a participation of 30 youths. It was organized by the Mumbai branch of Sri Aurobindo Society and conducted by Ms. Anahita Sanjana and her team: Tanushka Vaid, Ashumi Mehta, Dolly Desai, Priyasha, Avinaash, and Smrati.

The day started by talking to the participants about the 4 aspects inside everyone – the Mental, the Vital, the Physical, and the Inner Being. To explore the Mental, an exercise was done on judgment and understanding how preconceived notions about others might be wrong. To understand the relationship between the Vital and the Physical, a body-awareness technique was showed that helped the participants identify a physical pain and the emotional block related to it.

A session was also conducted on relationships and understanding their relationships with their friends, partners, parents, and most importantly, themselves. Participants were also led through a session on yoga and taught the practice of writing to their Inner Being for guidance.

Discussions were held on how to find out the “Aim of Our Life,” “How to Attain Success at Work” and participants were also given a glimpse into the lives of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

The session came to an end with chanting the Mother’s prayer and copies of “The Seeds of Light” were distributed to the participants.

At the end of the programme, the participants felt refreshed and more connected to their inner selves.  The feedbacks received from the participants were very encouraging and motivated the organisers to have more such programmes in the future to benefit the youth at large.

Few Testimonials from the participants:

Rehaan Pocha(Bis):  It was a magical journey that helped me find myself and understand my life. The camp made me realise how detrimental it is to health to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. However, AuroYouth gave me a hopeful perspective on how I can turn my life around to work towards being my best and happiest self.

Kajal Sanghvi (student of dentistry):  It was an eye opening experience, and it reminded me that everything happens for a reason I just gotta believe it

Rashna Karai, Actor - the class came at the right time for me. It was really good to clean out the mess in my head and fill it with yoga. Best use of my Sunday so far.
