PUDUCHERRY: Immediately after the birth of their baby, a couple met a wise man and asked him when they should begin their child’s education. The wise man replied, “You are already nine months’ late.”
In an effort to enlighten people on the vital aspects to be adopted as early as conception of babies, Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture (SAFIC) will conduct a three-day workshop -- ‘Sambhuti: The secret of conscious maternity and parenting in spiritual light’ -- at the Sri Aurobindo Society in Martin Street here from April 26.
The foundation has developed the workshop based on the ancient Indian scriptures and the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. The foundation aims at triggering a spiritual movement of creating a conscious population.
The participants will have an opportunity to understand and bring about a conscious change in the major aspects of the upbringing of a baby and role of parents in a spiritual light. They will be introduced to the concept of marriage, relationship, conception, prenatal care and education with ancient and modern insights.
