Energy Conservation Day was observed at the Institution of Engineers (India), Chennai Centre, on December 13, 2025. The event convened academicians, engineering professionals, and students to discuss the pressing necessity for sustainable energy practices and responsible interaction with nature. Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary of AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry, was invited to attend the event as Chief Guest and in his keynote address, Dr. Tripathy spoke about Traditional Knowledge System (TKS), Energy conservation, climate action and Sustainability: Integral Approach in the light of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. Prof. Dr. D. Elango, Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India), Dr. J. Balamurugan, Secretary of the Institution of Engineers (India), and engineers, faculty members, and students, who participated in discussions regarding sustainable energy solutions and exchanged best practices.
