The purpose of this film is to inspire and give a direction to the youth of India and the world through the story of Sri Aurobindo using a modern animation film medium as a work of timeless art. It will cover the period of Sri Aurobindo’s life from when he returned to India after his education in England (1893) to the eventful meeting of the Mother with him (1914).
The film will showcase Sri Aurobindo’s major contributions to India’s freedom movement – including the demand for Poorna Swaraj (complete independence), Swadeshi movement (and the boycott of foreign goods), introducing a revolutionary way of education for the younger generation which he called National Education.
An acclaimed team of artists has come together to render this movie with the best aesthetics and very high technical quality. Every frame for this film will be a 2D hand drawn image.
The expected budget is INR 2.0 Crores (~USD 271,000 / GBP 200,000). This being a research Project, all Indian donors will receive 35(i)(iii) tax-exemption under the Indian IT Act. Your active support is required for the successful completion of the film which we plan to release on 15th August 2022.
