“Save Water and it will save you,” a quote that is worth more than million dollars!!!

Water is now becoming one of the rarest of natural resources.  The reasons may be many, but it is high time now to wake up and call attention of each and every one to save WATER.

SVARNIM Puducherry is taking many steps to alert and caution people about this resource.  Now, we are turning our attention towards educating children who are the future generations on the importance of water.

The water literacy programme is a series of lectures and activities for school children to create awareness on water, its harvesting and sustainable use.  Its motive is to make children aware of how water is important in day-to-day life and how important it is to protect water from being polluted.

There are many sessions in this water literacy programme.  One session is an interactive discussion with school children to make them understand the importance of water in their lives and the serious outcome due to negligence of water conservation will be discussed with school children in this session.

Traditional water knowledge including harvesting, usage of water and recycling of water, conservation of water through simple processes, protection of water sources and many such vital topics will also be discussed with children.
