The workshop introduces participants to the various farming methodologies undertaken at Matrikunj.

At this farm the approach has been to experiment with different techniques while having a deep understanding of the principle behind each methodology. This knowledge in turn can be applied in multidimensional ways towards a conscious farming practice. Included during this half-day workshop are short sessions on field work and walk around the herbal garden, ending with a sumptuous organic meal!

About the Facilitator 

Baburam Bhai is our residential agriculturist, herbalist and researcher who hails from a farming background in Orissa. Inspired by the Mother’s teachings and words, Baburam has experimented with various natural and organic farming techniques and is now a great ocean of knowledge and experience. His efforts have been recognized by South Asia Rural Reconstruction Association (SARRA).
