Interactive Session on Creativity & Integral Development

As a mark of celebrating the 150th Birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo and the completion of the 75th anniversary of the independence of India, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society organized an interactive session with the teachers, inmates and students of Sri Aurobindo Integral Centre, Sunakhala, Odisha on 24th May, 2023.

Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society welcomed the representatives and briefed them about the aims and objectives of Sri Aurobindo Society with special emphasis to rediscover the genius and outstanding magnificence of Indian culture and works to apply it dynamically to life and all its activities in the building of a new India. Shri Sunil Kumar Prushty, Trustee of Sri Aurobindo Integral Centre said about the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and the implementation mechanism needed for revitalization of the educational system leading to peace and sustainable development.

The interactive session was conducted by Kishor Kumar Tripathy and special emphasis was given to the two-fold application of the teaching-learning system including the traditional knowledge system and its scientific application. Science and technology have played a significant role in enriching human society through the ages and glimpses can be found in ancient texts including spirituality, cosmology, sociology, life science, natural sciences, and many more. There is a need to rediscover the traditional and indigenous knowledge system including the technical advancement of the present scenario.

This session was also focused on creativity and integral development based on the teachings of Sri Aurobindo & the Mother. In a question-answer method, emphasis was given on intellectual growth and stimulating dialogue among participants. The event provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their understanding of art, culture, and science with an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach.
